DESCRIPTION:Add a homemade touch to holiday gifts and gatherings. In this hands-on class, we'll make fruit syrups that taste great over pancakes, in cocktails and mocktails, or stirred into sparkling water. You'll learn to can them safely in a boiling water bath canner, from filling jars and setting headspace to processing times and checking seals. We'll also mix up shrubs, the tangy fruit-and-vinegar drinking syrups that brighten a winter glass, and go over how to store them. Everyone goes home with recipes, new skills, and something to share.This program is being done in partnership with:
