Let’s Talk Lakes
Kent, NY – Let’s Talk Lakes: A Lively and Informative Program for Lake Enthusiasts in the Lower Hudson Valley, Friday June 3rd, 2022
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County, in partnership with the New York State Federation of Lakes Association (NYSFOLA), the Town of Kent – Kent Lakes Association (KLA), and Putnam County – Soil and Water Conservation will host a Spring Lake Workshop & CSLAP training.
This lively and informative program is specifically created for NYSFOLA Members, lake advisory boards, lake associations, private lake landowners, and all lake lovers from the Lower Hudson Valley. The day’s events will focus on safeguarding our lakes through water quality protection and management and will provide nutrient and run-off management training to educate participants about evidence-based best practice strategies to promote lake water quality. An optional Citizen Statewide Lake Assessment Program (CSLAP) training will also be offered for new volunteers. Event will be held Friday, June 3rd, 8:30 am to 2 pm followed by optional CSLAP training 2 to 4pm at the Sedgewood Club, Kent, NY 10512. Attendees may register for the full conference at the cost of $10 per person which includes a light breakfast and lunch - or just register for the free CSLAP training from 2 to 4 pm (Lunch not included).
