One of the best and least expensive ways to acquire native plants for your pollinator-friendly garden is to grow them from seed. Native seeds (perennials, shrubs and trees) are accustomed to spending the winter outdoors. They germinate best after a couple of months of natural winter conditions. In this workshop you will learn how and why planting seeds in the middle of winter works for native plants and you’ll learn several strategies for growing your own garden full of native plants with minimal effort and expense.
