LOCATION: BREWSTER, NY
Please join us for this informative workshop on how to properly compost farm animal mortalities and road-killed animals. Jean Bonhotal from the Cornell Waste Management Institute will lead us in a workshop that will introduce the idea of carcass composting, burial rules, and guidance, as well as problems and solutions.
We aim to encourage new and existing facilities, farms, and homes to compost animal mortalities. We'll explore "digestion" and other disposal ideas that protect human, livestock and environmental health. There will be demonstrations on how to build a carcass composting pile.
Presenter: Jean Bonhotal, Cornell Waste Management Institute, Dept. of Crop and Soil Science
