  • Saturday, March 23, 2024, 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM

Cornell Cooperative Extension and Women Owning Woods – Catskills/Hudson Valley, invite you to join us for a shiitake log inoculation workshop. Learn about log-grown shiitake mushrooms as a viable woodlot crop. CCE and Watershed Agricultural Council staff will take you through the steps of selecting a log, inoculating it with shiitake spawn, and caring for it so you can enjoy mushrooms for years to come.

Tiered pricing will allow interested participants to leave with their very own inoculated log to take home. If additional logs are available, participants may purchase more on day-of event.

This program will begin with a presentation at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County, Brewster, NY and will end with a hands-on workshop and woods walk at Tilly Foster Farm, Brewster, NY

Participants should:
