2024 Introduction to Composting - CLOSED

  • Saturday, August 17, 2024, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteers for an Introduction to Composting Workshop.

Compost is sometimes called “black gold” and has long been considered a gardener’s best friend.

Learn one of the simplest and easiest ways to improve the soil in your garden and an environmentally friendly way to deal with kitchen and garden waste.

Join us for a classroom presentation on the basics of composting, followed by a hands-on lesson in our demonstration garden. The class will take place indoors and outdoors; please dress appropriately and bring gloves. In the event of heavy rain, only the outside portion will be cancelled. The indoor portion, a lecture, will still be held.

Event Details: August 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Location: Southeast Education and Demonstration Garden (SEDGe) (located next to the Brewster DMV), 1 Geneva Road, Brewster NY 10509
